This is with the City of Toronto and a program designed integrate those with a disability with City’s programs. I registered my older one in some city program a few weeks ago and stumbled across this program they have. I called the line for my district and the gentlemen was so kind and helpful. He explained the program thoroughly which is also available online. You have to register for this 4 weeks in advance before the next season of program as it might take that long before you get approved. I’ll update my progress after I get the approval. Forgot to mention the cost is minimum.

You will need to complete forms that staff will mail to you. I got this emailed to me in PDF format and filled it in and emailed it back.
Staff will schedule an intake interview with you and register you or your child into a confidential database to help match appropriate services and programs. You are then given an Adapted Integrated Services (AIS) membership.
Once you have your AIS membership, you can register for Adapted Programs. Visit How to Register for Recreation Programs.
Please note: If requesting integration services, add your name to a waitlist.
I think the best part of this program is the integration. IF you are able to join the general program they offer a max of 2 week per child at designated summer camps for 1:1 or 1:2 or 1:3 ratio. You can get the support person for one recreational program per season too. Now I can’t speak on the quality of this at the moment but last week at my older’s swimming lessons there was a family there with a support person. That person got in the pool and help assisted and there was another person sitting on the bench watching. I doubt you will get 2:1 support but it was good having another set of eyes.
For those interested in swimming please note only a handful of pools are kept as designated warm pool.
